During the third battle's fifth round on the volcano stage, Alviss spars with Rolan, a Knight proficient in explosive Nature ÄRM. Alviss discovers that Rolan also bears the immortality tattoo curse but uniquely harbors a deep grudge against it. Overwhelmed by this revelation and Rolan's relentless attacks, Alviss cannot recover in time. The continuous blows drain his magic power completely, leaving him defeated and hors de combat.
