Massugu ni Ikou

A dog who can speak is the focus of this tale, though only the dog can hear his own words. Mametaro, a mixed-breed dog with a spirit for adventure, holds deep affection for his owner Iku-chan and her friend Hanako. He strongly dislikes Iku-chan's companion, Akiyoshi. The narrative unfolds from Mametaro's perspective as spring arrives, transforming familiar places like the school and riverbank into an expansive, mysterious realm for him and his companions.
