A deity known for trickery is banished to Earth after making an offensive jest, and is transformed into a child. To return to the divine realm, they must gather auras of malice that corrupt human souls, which they pursue through a detective business. A young woman fascinated by enigmas joins their efforts, assisting in her unique manner. Additional deities from the same pantheon soon emerge, many seeking to kill the exiled god for unspecified motives.
