Fumino notices cat ears behind a trash can on her way to school. Later, Takumi and his friends find a cake order has been eaten. Ieyasa blames a young boy, who claims a large cat did it. Remembering the morning sighting, Fumino teams up with the boy to find the creature. Ieyasa and Chise also hunt the cat for their own reasons, competing with Fumino. After failing to catch the figure, Otome returns home the next day. She presents the strange cat to Takumi and the others, revealing it is actually a human girl.
