The Junior Detective League interviews Sean Moss, who initially misidentifies digging sounds from Walter's property as coming from a neighboring construction site. Conan gathers everyone at Walter's house to present his theory, identifying the victim's remains under a flower that grew from a gift Celia received on the day she disappeared. Walter confesses that Celia's death was accidental; he pulled his hand away, causing her to fall to her death after he learned of a financial error she made. Her body is recovered, and Matthew, having received probation for robbery, returns home to bury Celia properly.
