At Beika Gourmet Restaurant Street, Kogoro and Conan dine with Takashi Yamaura at his Italian bar, RESO. Hiroyuki Kusumi, the alley owner, destroys the wall to harass shop owners who rejected his demolition request, leading to deaths from exhaustion. With help from Fumio Nakano of Sakura-ya and Yuji Yonezawa of Seventy Seven, Kogoro makes Kusumi leave. Later, Conan uses a coin-operated toilet. Fifteen minutes later, Kogoro finds Kusumi dead inside, appearing to have fallen. Conan determines it is murder. Police investigate and identify Fumio as the only suspect without an alibi, prompting a search of her restaurant for the murder weapon.
