Shin Nishitani is found dead in a tanning salon after applying poisoned gel. Suspects include rival bodybuilders Masaru Ozawa and Takeshi Nagano, and employee Yasuo Tsunoda. Police initially suspect Yasuo due to his knowledge of the victim's room choice and his embezzlement. However, Conan remains unsatisfied with the lack of motive. He re-examines Ayumi's diary and notices the men's similar appearances. By inspecting their teeth, Conan uncovers the true identity of the killer and the real motive, preventing the culprit's next move.
