Haibara is ambushed by Gin and Vodka on a roof, but Conan intervenes to save her. He alters his voice to avoid recognition, allowing Haibara to escape down a chimney before reverting to his child form. Conan then confronts Pisco, revealing he is actually Matsuyama, who murdered Nomiguichi using a rigged chandelier. When questioned about a missing purple handkerchief, Matsuyama remains silent. A fire breaks out in the storage room, enabling Conan and Haibara to flee. Gin subsequently kills Matsuyama to protect the Organization's secrecy, citing a photograph taken by a journalist. The episode concludes with Gin and Vodka meeting a third member, Vermouth.
