The Detective Boys attend an animal show featuring a white lion named Leon. Outside, James Black is mistaken by reporters for Randy Hawks, a wealthy zoo sponsor. The boys guide Black through the crowd by claiming he is their English Teacher. In gratitude, Black offers lunch but leaves to fetch his car. He is subsequently mistaken for Hawks and kidnapped for ransom. Concerned, the Detective Boys search for him and conclude he was abducted. They locate Black's strap from the show in an alley and find blood on the letters P, &, and A on the strap.
