Conan and Professor Agasa transport a severely ill Ai to a medical facility, only to find it at capacity and face a two-hour wait. They proceed to a nearby shopping mall for lunch, where they observe four Porsches in the parking area, one containing a sleeping intoxicated man. While Ai rests in Agasa’s vehicle, Conan and Agasa join Ran, Sonoko, and Jodie at a restaurant. Conan detects Jodie’s suspicion upon hearing Ran mention Ai. Following a television interview, Conan fears exposure by Organization members and returns to retrieve Ai. Upon arrival, he discovers the man inside the Porsche is dead, compelling Conan to investigate the homicide.
