Mr. Head reveals that the individual responsible for his son's death is currently working within his own ranks. He instructs Kogoro to continue working with the gang as originally intended, using the opportunity to identify the specific subordinate who committed the murder. This arrangement allows Kogoro to gather information directly from the perpetrators while maintaining the cover of a new recruit, despite the leader's awareness of the deception.
