Amuro witnesses a woman being pushed from the top of the stairs at Haido Park, though he fails to identify the culprit. The victim is Natsuko, a teacher at Haido Elementary School and a friend of Jodie, who is left unconscious and severely injured. Conan and Jodie investigate the scene at the park and conclude that Natsuko was assaulted elsewhere before being moved to the stairs, specifically at her school. Following this discovery, Megure and the police begin questioning individuals connected to the incident, including Sugamoto, a coworker who attempted to give Natsuko a ride home, as well as Ueno and Kandachi, parents of students who had scheduled appointments to see her.
