Ep. 936: Detective Boys suspect bomb plot at market but find misunderstanding before police arrest real culprits

Before Movie 23, Genta, Mitsuhiko, and Ayumi visit the Beika City Farmer’s Market, where Inspector Megure is scheduled to speak. The trio overhears suspects mentioning an explosive event and assumes they plan to detonate a bomb. Following Conan’s logic, the Detective Boys trail the group but are discovered. The suspects claim they are preparing Chicken Rice, a Singaporean dish, and explain that a giant star on their truck represents their love for stargazing. Believing it is a misunderstanding, the children eat and depart. Later, they inform Detective Sato and Detective Takagi about the truck. Detective Sato realizes the star actually symbolizes Singapore, the Star Country. The suspects are revealed to be genuine bombers seeking revenge and are arrested. Inspector Megure praises the Detective Boys for their effective work despite the initial error.
