Ep. 5: Kobeni meets Shirayuki and learns about her past fevers and Hakuya's power

Kobeni discovers that Mashiro is nine years old and prepares for a visit from the Mitsumine family. While shopping, she assists a lost woman who reveals herself to be Shirayuki, the mother of Mashiro and Hakuya. Shirayuki casually mentions that her family is not human, triggering Kobeni’s fever and memories of Hakuya being a dog. Shirayuki explains that Kobeni’s recurring fevers stem from Hakuya sharing half of his inhuman power to save her life. Before leaving, Shirayuki thanks Kobeni for caring for Hakuya, noting that his habit of stroking her head originated from her.
