Ep. 9: Hakuya Chases Kobeni While Konoha Misinterprets Engagement Secrets

Mashiro reveals Kobeni and Hakuya’s engagement to Konoha, prompting Hakuya to chase Kobeni and clarify he is already engaged to her. Niko overhears this and questions if they are dating, but Hakuya denies it, citing a desire to respect Kobeni’s wish for secrecy. Konoha, learning of this from Niko, mistakenly believes she still has a chance with Hakuya. When Kobeni asks Konoha to keep the engagement secret, Konoha suggests breaking it off if Kobeni is opposed. Kobeni cries at this suggestion, and the conversation is interrupted by Benio. Later that night, Kobeni assures Hakuya that she does not oppose the engagement. Mashiro interprets this statement as a love confession and encourages Hakuya to buy Kobeni a spectacular gift for White Day.
