Conan engages a massive 10,000-pound shark within the submerged ruins of a village near Remnant Island. He defeats the creature by stabbing it with a harpoon and drags the carcass to the beach. Shortly after, a young girl named Lana washes ashore and receives aid from Conan and his grandfather. Two soldiers from Industria arrive in a hydroplane and abduct Lana. During the confrontation, Conan's grandfather sustains fatal injuries while attempting to launch a missile at the attackers.
