Yuki's health deteriorates, leading to life support and a final farewell. Her mother reveals Yuki survived a year beyond her three-month prognosis. Minami feels remorse over her last words before the quarter finals. Yuki dies before the finals, causing Minami to blame herself and reject baseball. The team already knew this, having been informed by Yuki. Distraught, Minami flees but is found by Ayano. She returns to the stadium while her team trails 4-0. Despite her internal conflict, Minami overcomes her fear and enthusiastically cheers for her teammates, finding a way to cope with her loss through support.
