Ep. 12: Nana seeks Kyoya's aid to save Michiru while uncovering her tragic past involving Hitomi.

Nana decides to save Michiru and asks Kyoya for assistance after her teacher suggests it. Kyoya arrives while Nana tends to Michiru, and Fuko visits that night to inquire about case developments. When Michiru wakes, the two spend time together. The next day, Jin speaks with Ryuji's killer and questions who manipulated Nana. Meanwhile, Tsuruoka informs the committee he is traveling to the island. As Kyoya investigates, Nana and Michiru play shogi. Michiru shares that she was bullied for her talent until she healed a dog, becoming friends with owner Hitomi Hosokawa. Michiru later fainted while helping at a hospital and learned Hitomi had cancer, eventually passing away. Nana becomes emotional when she is alone.
