In a near-future world shaped by human imagination, creatures once considered ghosts or monsters exist and are known as phantoms. Haruhiko Ichijo is a first-year student at Hosea Academy, where he studies alongside Mai Kawakami, a senior who battles phantoms using the "Spirit of Five Elements" ability. Other students include Izumi Reina, who possesses the "Phantom Eater" skill, and Koito Minase, who fights phantoms alone. The group navigates high school life until an event reveals the underlying truth about their world.
