Trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, Karin recalls memories from ten years ago in the Grass Village where her mother suffered critical injuries while healing ninjas. Zousui took her to the hospital, granting her healing bite abilities. Mourning her mother and horrified by her bite marks, Karin joined the medical team but stayed home. She later healed grass ninjas at the battlefield before collapsing from exhaustion. During the Chunin Exams, she guarded the earth scroll in the Forest of Death and was saved by Sasuke after he defeated a large bear. Disappointed, Zousui sent her to the North Fortress to aid allies fighting the Kaguya Clan. Fearing death from biting injuries, Karin arrived and healed them. Orochimaru rescued her from two thugs, leading her to join him. At the Sannin’s hideout, Kabuto asked her to demonstrate medical skills to Orochimaru. Later, at the Northern Hideout, Kabuto instructed her to assist with Jūgo experiments. After Orochimaru gathered information, she saw Sasuke again. When Sasuke formed Taka, Zousui and his men betrayed her. She brutally killed them before collapsing. Sasuke recovered Karin, who asked him to smile.
