Sasuke questions his Chidori proficiency and feels alienated by Fugaku’s support for Itachi’s diplomatic stance. After a violent clash with Naruto, Minato intervenes, highlighting Sasuke’s insecurity regarding his power. Resenting his father, Sasuke requests removal from Team 7 and transfers to the Leaf Police Force to shadow Uchiha on a long-term mission. Jiraiya and Naruto depart for training, while Sakura joins Tsunade. During the subsequent three years, Naruto learns senjutsu, Sasuke refines the Chidori under Shisui, and Sakura masters the Reverse Seal. Upon returning, Sasuke reports to Fugaku that he has surpassed Shisui. Impressed, Fugaku promotes him within the Police Force, prompting Sasuke to angrily recall his departure from Konoha.
