Ep. 3: Shion Survives Parasite Infection and Confronts Nezumi Over No. 6 Warning

After escaping No. 6, Shion discovers he is infected with a parasite. Nezumi extracts the creature, saving Shion’s life but leaving his body weakened. Once recovered, Nezumi takes Shion to a hotel where the owner rents dogs to keep guests warm during sleep. There, Shion learns that Nezumi contacted his mother, who sent him a message. Shion analyzes the parasite and determines that spring will trigger a massive emergence, killing hosts and causing city-wide turmoil. While Nezumi rejoices at the impending tragedy for the place he hates, Shion insists the inhabitants of No. 6 must be warned. Nezumi threatens to treat Shion as an enemy if he continues to help them.
