Yato and Yukine accidentally bring Hiyori to Rabo's shrine, where Yato is swiftly defeated and trapped in a water sphere. Hiyori rescues him, but Rabo destroys the sphere holding her memories, rendering her unconscious. Enraged, Yato reverts to his former persona as a god of calamity, kicking Rabo against a cliff. Rabo then merges with a storm and its phantoms, causing boulders to fall. Yato saves Hiyori from a falling rock, holding her close. Her memories return due to his scent, and she regains consciousness. Realizing he must eliminate her, Rabo grabs Hiyori, but Yato and Yukine defeat him using a spirit-cleansing technique. On the journey home, Hiyori declares she never wants to sever her bonds with them.
