Ep. 9: Hiyori seeks aid for Yukine’s purification while Nora awakens a vengeful deity.

Daikoku and Kofuku permit Hiyori to cross the borderline to cleanse her blight, warning that Yato will die unless Yukine undergoes punishment by ablution. Daikoku enlists Mayu but struggles to find a third Regalia, rejecting Nora’s help to avoid her killing Yukine. Hiyori visits Bishamon’s shrine to request Kazuma’s assistance. The three Regalias discover Yukine’s back is covered with phantoms and begin the ablution, where Yukine must endure pain to confess his sins or transform into a phantom. Yukine admits his crimes, expressing jealousy of the living. As his condition worsens, Hiyori and Yato remind him they are friends and that his name represents a person. Yukine apologizes for his actions, allowing the ablution to succeed. Yato and Yukine return to normal and thank Hiyori for saving their lives. Meanwhile, Nora awakens a god named Rabo, who holds a grudge against Yato.
