Ep. 1: Rikuo Nura investigates a haunted school building with classmate Kiyotsugu

Rikuo Nura, the three-fourths human grandson of Nurarihyon and Third Heir of the Nura Clan, struggles with the expectations of his yōkai subordinates who desire his leadership. Despite their wishes for him to assume the role of Lord, Rikuo prefers a normal human life. His classmate Kiyotsugu invites him to explore an old school building rumored to be haunted by yōkai. Together, they set out to investigate the location to determine if the supernatural claims are true or false, marking a departure from his usual desire to avoid his clan duties.
