Ep. 2: An old Nura ally questions Rikuo's future leadership in the bamboo thicket

A frail yōkai named Zen, whose family has long supported the Nura Clan in exchange for protection, arrives to discuss Rikuo's position as the future head. Zen was also a childhood playmate of Rikuo. During their meeting, Zen directly asks about Rikuo's willingness to lead, but Rikuo evades the question, stating he does not wish to become the clan's leader. Consequently, Zen departs with doubts regarding the future of the Nura Clan. This encounter highlights the tension between Rikuo's reluctance and the expectations of his allies, leaving the clan's leadership uncertain as Zen leaves the premises.
