Asami attempts to celebrate Kyosuke's birthday with a special meal, but the food falls on the floor, her father quarrels with Kyosuke, and he passes out from excessive beer. Later, she discovers a love letter in her shoe locker and causes a disturbance in Kyosuke's class by trying to read it during his lecture. Kyosuke confiscates the letter, glances at it, and returns it. Asami avoids confronting her admirer and leaves school through a different exit.
