Kyosuke’s colleague Iwasaki invites him for tea after school, but the meeting extends into dinner. Upon returning home, Kyosuke fabricates a story about working late to cover his absence. Unbeknownst to him, his wife Asami had been shopping for him and saw him with Iwasaki. Later, Kyosuke goes drinking with colleagues, where Iwasaki confesses her love and attempts to kiss him. When Kyosuke returns home early, Asami is overjoyed and tries to kiss him on the veranda. Instead of reciprocating, Kyosuke feeds her a cherry, highlighting the tension and deception in their relationship following his unfaithful behavior with Iwasaki.
