Ryoushi saves Otsuu Tsurugaya from a stray baseball, prompting her to become his maid to repay the debt, much to his discomfort. Ryouko and Ringo visit Ryoushi’s home, where they meet his aunt Yukime Murano, an author and Ryouko’s idol, who hints at Ryouko’s feelings for Ryoushi. Otsuu collapses from exhaustion and fever, revealing her childhood trauma: she was saved from a car by a boy who died before she could thank him, causing her fear of unreturned favors. To help her, Ringo suggests everyone dress as maids to serve Otsuu, emphasizing that friends do not owe each other favors. This gesture aims to alleviate Otsuu’s anxiety and reinforce the bond of friendship among the group.
