EP 1Otogi Bank recruits Ryoushi after he protects Ryouko from thugs
Jul 1, 2010Ryouko Ookami rejects Ryoushi Morino’s confession but recruits him into the Otogi Bank after Ringo Akai’s background check. The group accepts a request from Kakari Haibara to prevent her senpai Akihiro Ooji from quitting the tennis club. Ryoushi attempts to stop the resignation paperwork using his stealth abilities, but the plan fails. He transports Kakari to Akihiro on a pumpkin bicycle built by Majolica le Fay, which lacks brakes and crashes, causing Kakari to knock Akihiro unconscious. Later, Ryouko and Ringo are attacked by the same thugs Ryouko previously defeated. Ryoushi is injured while protecting Ryouko during the fight. After defeating the attackers, Ryouko officially accepts Ryoushi as a companion. Akihiro deduces Kakari’s involvement through a Cinderella-like clue and promises to play tennis with her.

She explains her father absconded with her debt payment. Ryoushi, angered by her plight rather than her actions, contacts the Otogi Bank. Ryoushi and Ryouko fight off the collectors, who are then arrested. The bank clears Machiko’s debt and secures her tenancy at the Otohashi residence. At her housewarming party, Ryoushi admits his masculinity stems from Ryouko, who is eavesdropping. Machiko directly asks Ryouko about her feelings, and Ryouko’s admission that she does not dislike him leads Machiko to withdraw her romantic pursuit.
