Erika informs Kyoya that her birthday falls on June 23 and requests love as a gift. Confused by the abstract concept, Kyoya seeks advice from Nozomi and Takeru, receiving suggestions to compliment her outfit or dine at a restaurant. After overhearing Erika tell San that she wants to hear Kyoya say "I love you," he plans a date involving a restaurant, movie, window shopping, and a nighttime boat cruise. Throughout the outing, Kyoya attempts to confess his feelings but becomes flustered and makes excuses each time. Finally, as a car passes by at the end of their date, he manages to say "I love you." Erika responds that it has been the best birthday ever.
