Seventeen-year-old Sueharu Maru lives next door to outgoing childhood friend Kuroha Shida, who confesses her feelings but is rejected. Sueharu is fixated on Shirokusa Kachi, a beautiful idol and award-winning author who seems indifferent to other boys but attentive to him. Believing he has a chance, Sueharu prepares to confess his love. However, he is devastated to discover that Shirokusa already has a boyfriend. Heartbroken and confused by Shirokusa's behavior, Sueharu is approached by Kuroha. She offers to help him seek revenge against Shirokusa and her current partner, setting the stage for a complex emotional conflict involving unrequited love and potential retaliation.
