Seventeen-year-old high school student Sueharu Maru lives next to his outgoing childhood friend, Kuroha Shida. Although Kuroha confesses her feelings, Sueharu rejects her because he is devoted to Shirokusa Kachi, a beautiful idol and award-winning author. Shirokusa shows indifference to other boys but seems attentive to Sueharu, giving him hope. However, his plans to confess are shattered when he discovers Shirokusa already has a boyfriend. Devastated by this revelation, Sueharu is approached by Kuroha, who offers to help him seek revenge against Shirokusa and her new partner.
