Jing and Kir arrive in ZaZa expecting a masquerade ball, only to discover a nationwide gladiator competition for the title of Earl. Jing seeks the Vintage Smile, a pearl white mask, while learning from Angostura Sr. that Madame DuBonnet orchestrated the fights after her son Lemon was murdered by his uncle. Seeking revenge, she forces warriors to battle until only one remains, targeting the D'Ice Brothers: Baffle, Crash, and Cube, who killed Lemon. After Jing defeats an opponent, he witnesses Cube suffer a crushing loss to a mysterious warrior clad in blood-red armor featuring demon motifs.
