Go undertakes a Project Mew trial mission at Sea Kinsetsu, a battle royale against other members. He reunites with friend Tokio, and they ally to eliminate remaining trainers. The pair become the final two competitors. Tokio initially offers to withdraw to ensure Go wins, but Go insists on a decisive battle. Go loses the match, resulting in Tokio receiving three tokens as the victor, while Go is awarded two tokens.
