Ep. 114: Satoshi and Shinji engage in a three-on-three battle before Satoshi departs for the Masters Tournament.
Satoshi and Go visit Professor Okido's lab to reunite with Satoshi's past Pokémon. Nearby, Satoshi and Shinji meet again after their Sinnoh League battle. Satoshi challenges Shinji to a three-on-three match with no switching. Satoshi leads with Lucario against Shinji's Gyarados. Lucario defeats Gyarados using a newly learned Bullet Punch. Satoshi's Kairyu then faces Shinji's Gaburias and is knocked out. In the final round, Satoshi's Gangar battles Shinji's Metagross. Despite taking heavy damage, Gangar uses Will-O-Wisp and Shadow Ball to defeat Metagross. Satoshi wins two out of three battles. Afterward, Shinji reveals he received an offer to become a Gym Leader, explaining his visit to Professor Okido. With renewed confidence, Satoshi prepares to travel to Galar for the Masters Tournament.
