Ep. 168: Ash Takes Over Dojo After Kenzo's Injury and Team Rocket Attack
Aired on September 28, 2000Filler

168
Following a rescue of Mr. Kenzo from a berserk Tauros, Ash is selected to lead the Fighting Pokémon dojo, surprising Chigusa, whose training methods Kenzo considers frivolous. Before the transition, Shiro "The Dojo Destroyer" challenges Kenzo, causing both the master and his Machoke to injure their backs. Chigusa steps in but her Hitmontop loses to Shiro's Hitmonlee. Team Rocket then interrupts, forcing Ash, Pikachu, and Bulbasaur to rescue everyone and the Pokémon. With the confrontation paused, the narrative focuses on whether Ash and Bulbasaur can adequately train Chigusa and Hitmontop to secure victory in the rescheduled battle the following day.
