While Professor Burnet discovers a vintage photograph of Professor Kukui with a Litten, Ash and his Pokémon train in the Alola forest. During this time, Celebi appears and inadvertently transports Ash and Torracat back in time. In the past, they encounter a young, energetic boy who is also accompanied by a Litten. Ash gives this boy the nickname "Roary." The young trainer is deeply impressed by Ash's combat skills and Pokémon battling prowess. This unexpected journey allows Ash to witness the early life of a familiar figure from his own timeline, creating a unique connection across different eras within the Alola region.
