Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie encounter Alexa once more while she oversees a new fossil exhibition at the Ambrette Town Museum. During their visit, they observe the revived fossil Pokémon Amaura and Aurorus residing in the facility's cold storage area. The group's peaceful exploration is interrupted when Team Rocket appears with the intention of abducting Amaura. This theft forces Ash and his companions to immediately launch a rescue operation to retrieve the Pokémon and thwart the villains' plans. The episode focuses on the reunion between the travelers and Alexa, as well as the urgent mission to save the fossil creature from being taken away by the persistent antagonists.
