Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie reach Professor Sycamore's Pokémon Summer Camp. There, they encounter Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno. These newcomers received Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle from Professor Sycamore as their first Pokémon. The trio wishes to test their abilities against Ash and his companions. This meeting sets the stage for a competition between the two groups at the summer camp facility.
