Myuuto attempts to win Freya's heart in the practice room but is interrupted by Princess Tutu. In town, Duck encounters a mysterious child named Uzura holding a drum. By the smith's shop, she meets Fakir and learns that Uzura was created from the unburned wood of the puppet Edel, who previously saved Fakir, Duck, and Myuuto after their duet at the underground lake. A school contest offers the winner a chance to dance with Myuuto, which Freya secures. At the fountain, Myuuto tries again to claim her heart but is thwarted by Fakir and Princess Tutu. Myuuto vanishes after Freya is saved. Meanwhile, the Raven expresses frustration to Kraehe for failing to provide a suitable heart.
