Ep. 30: Fakir Faces Execution While Duck Searches for Heart Shards Beyond the City Gates
Fakir communicates with an oak tree as Duck skips class to check on him. Neko Sensei advises Duck not to abandon her dreams, though she misinterprets his words as a comment on her marriage. Duck encounters Myuuto, accidentally transforming into a duck, and learns of his conflicting desires to protect the world while hoarding its love. She resolves to help him and searches for heart shards, eventually discovering that the city gates are the only location remaining. Transforming into Princess Tutu, she climbs the gate to find only a wall beyond. Meanwhile, mysterious figures threaten to sever Fakir’s hands, citing a generational duty linked to Drosselmeyer. They take him to Drosselmeyer’s grave to carry out the execution. Princess Tutu witnesses this from above and intervenes, but Drosselmeyer pulls her into his world to hide the truth. Fakir realizes he must fight Drosselmeyer’s narrative to save Myuuto. Elsewhere, Rue meets Aotoa, who claims he loves her enough to die, but she dismisses his statement and orders him to leave.
