Ziming and Ziyu pursue an unknown savior through Shanghai, but Ziming is captured by a soldier in a flying machine. Ziyu later discovers the rescuer is Shi Lan, revealing she is female. Ziming overpowers the pilot, crashes the vehicle, and reunites with Ziyu and Shi Lan. At dawn, they observe a procession led by General Meng Tian heading to the docks, where a massive ship appears that nearly dwarfs the city. Master Ban attributes this phenomenon to collaboration between the Dictatorial Mechanisms and Yin Yang techniques. The Moon Goddess is also seen following the procession with Yue-er.
