Seth, Mélie, and Doc arrive at Caislean Merlin, a fortress home to the Knights-sorcerers, who are also pursuing Némésis. The stronghold is under threat from the Spectrum Némésis, entities believed to foretell disaster. Seth seeks to uncover the truth about this new variant of Némésis as his journey progresses. He meets Ocoho, a girl aspiring to become a Knight-sorcerer, while Mélie and Doc prepare to leave. The group faces off against the Merchant-Barons, and the Inquisition continues to pursue them.
