Ryoga meets Shirokuro, a black and white runaway ninja dog. The animal retrieves a love letter from Ryoga’s backpack and delivers it to Akane. Unaware of the sender, Akane writes a reply explaining she loves someone else and cannot reciprocate. Shirokuro returns the response to Ryoga. However, Ryoga notices his signature is missing from the original letter. Misinterpreting the situation, he believes Akane is in love with him and departs with Shirokuro.
