Tatewaki Kuno learns from his servant Sasuke Sarugakure that Ranma suffers from ailurophobia, an intense fear of cats. Kuno exploits this weakness by instructing Sasuke to place cats along Ranma's route. The sudden exposure causes Ranma to lose his composure and adopt feline behaviors. This transformation triggers the activation of the dangerous "Cat Fu" technique, allowing Ranma to fight with lethal agility derived from his fear-induced state.
