The mansion burns after the battle with Guiltylowe, prompting Subaru to search for Beatrice while Otto and Petra flee. In the graveyard, Emilia faces the third trial within Echidna’s mindspace, encountering a masked Minerva who hints at Emilia’s mother. Emilia promises a future tea party before waking to dismantle the barrier. Outside, a blizzard covers the Sanctuary. At the mansion, Garfiel confronts the vampire Elsa, learning her tragic past before crushing her with a rock pig corpse. Meanwhile, Puck and Ram battle Roswaal in a snowless area. Roswaal admits to sabotaging Emilia’s contract with Puck, while Ram confesses her love for him. Ram steals the Tome and throws it into the fire, just as Roswaal unleashes a devastating fire blast at her.
