Recca and Domon defeat Fuuko and destroy the mind control orb, discovering that Kage Houshi cannot be killed. The following day, Tokiya Mikagami confronts Recca, who feigns ignorance. It is revealed that Kage Houshi misled Tokiya into believing Recca was connected to the men who murdered his sister in childhood. Tokiya later attacks Recca in a park using Ensui, a sword that manipulates water. As Recca faces death, Yanagi intervenes to stop the fight. Tokiya is shocked by Yanagi’s appearance, as she resembles his deceased sister. This encounter halts the immediate conflict between the two swordsmen, driven by Tokiya’s personal vendetta and the deceptive information provided by Kage Houshi.
