Ep. 2: Madoka faces new missions and pilots against Kiss members Izo and Kirius.

After an attack, Madoka learns her Ovid is the Vox Aura from chief adviser Moid. Fleet captain Shozo Tadokoro of Novumundus informs her of upcoming missions. While Madoka attempts to contact Youko without success, Moid and Tadokoro discuss her value as a pilot. Madoka wanders into the storage hangar and encounters another pilot, Muginami. Lan directs her to fight Kiss member Izo, who pilots the Ovid Voluntas. Doubt causes the Vox Aura to shut down during the battle. Youko, a marine biologist, calls to encourage Madoka to finish what she started. Madoka counterattacks Izo, but Kirius, piloting the Ovid Libertas, appears behind her. Madoka suspects a pincer movement by the enemy forces.
