The group celebrates Nae's birthday while attempting to repair GunBuild-2. Akiho and Subaru assign Tetsuharu to build a motor from a monopole, while Kaito investigates Kimijima's Report No. 4 regarding Project Atum. After Akiho defeats Kaito in Kill-Ballad, he seeks Kona's help. She reveals hidden images in the Gunvarrel episode leading to a password on a website created by her mother twenty years ago. The message claims Gunvarrel is propaganda and warns of solar flares and terrorist attacks linked to Project Atum. Kaito accesses Report No. 5, detailing a predicted coronal mass ejection by the Committee of 300. Tetsuharu cuts the monopole, but a solar storm immediately causes robots to malfunction in the Kanto region. Kona is framed for the attacks on TwiPo. Kaito breaks into her apartment, finding her in the bath with a box cutter, begging for help.
